In 2020, when lock-down began due to the pandemic, I decided to repurpose our backyard shed into a workshop. My goal with this workshop was, and still is, to design & prototype items that enhance people's lives. I call these "Small Architectures".

Media Console Prototype 01
The Media Console JD-M01 was designed with mobility and functionality in mind. The casework is tailored to the specifications of the client’s media systems, while the support base is designed to be demountable, allowing the entire system to be easily broken down for transportation.
Crafted from radiata ply for the casework and sustainably sourced decking hardwood for the support base, the console combines durability with environmental consciousness.
Inspired by the renewed appreciation for the analogue charm of vinyl LPs and the nomadic lifestyle of the new generation, this media console reflects a blend of classic and contemporary values.
The prototype is set to be developed for commercial release soon—stay tuned for new developments!

Floating Bureau Prototype 01
The Floating Bureau JD-B01 is designed to be a versatile staple for any room. Drawing inspiration from the classic proportions of mid-century modernist design, this unit features Japanese-style screen runners instead of traditional hardware, employing invisible fixings for a sleek appearance.
This bureau seamlessly combines functionality with aesthetic appeal.
